Dean Spiliotes, research director at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics (NHIOP), spoke to a Reuters News Service reporter for a story that appeared in the Khaleej Times, in the United Arab Emerites. He was discussing the scheme to use hang-up calls to interrupt Democrats’ 2002 get-out-the-vote efforts in New Hampshire.

“At first it seemed like he (recently sentenced James Tobin) was a free agent working on his own with maybe one or two people. That shot up some pretty large red flags among people in the state,” Spiliotes was quoted as saying.
