Journalist Helen Aguirre Ferre Speaks on Immigration

In today’s podcast, we feature a lecture by Helen Aguirre Ferre, who spoke at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics on September 24, 2007. In her lecture, Aguirre Ferre discusses the historical context of U.S. immigration, the current process of immigration, and a number of reforms being proposed.
Aguirre Ferre is an award-winning bilingual journalist in print and broadcast media, with more than two decades of reporting experience. She was appointed to the Florida State Committee of Higher Education Access Task Force in 2005, and serves as chair of the Board of Trustees at Miami Dade College.
